Basketball Recap: Stanton County Beats Elkhart for Their Fifth Straight Win

Stanton County had won four straight games and David Crane did his part to make it five on Tuesday. The Stanton County Trojans were the clear victor by a 70-46 margin over the Elkhart Wildcats thanks in part to Crane, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 boards. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Arihm Gonzalez, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played.

Stanton County's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Elkhart, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Stanton County will challenge Syracuse at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elkhart, they are taking a road trip to square off against Lakin at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. Lakin will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Elkhart surely won't give up without a fight.
