Preview: McComb Panthers vs. Arcadia Redskins
After two games on the road, McComb is heading back home. They will take on the Arcadia Redskins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The pair are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
After only 18 points in their last contest, McComb made sure to put some points up on the board against Hardin Northern on Tuesday. McComb blew past Hardin Northern 56-34. Given McComb's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Hardin Northern is ranked 764th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Arcadia stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They put the hurt on Hardin Northern with a sharp 52-30 win. Winning may never get old, but Arcadia sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
McComb has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.
McComb was able to grind out a solid win over Arcadia when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 41-29. Does McComb have another victory up their sleeve, or will Arcadia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
