Basketball Game Preview: Modoc Braves vs. Tulelake Honkers

Modoc is 9-1 against Tulelake since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. Both will face off at 5:40 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Modoc is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.

Modoc will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Fall River, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Modoc took down Fall River 59-43 on Friday.

Modoc had a senior duo take command as Chris Guasp went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points along with six boards and three steals and Nate Gallardo posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. What's more, Guasp also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Nash Benson, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Tulelake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 74-36 loss at the hands of Portola.

Tulelake's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Modoc, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything came up roses for Modoc against Tulelake when the teams last played two weeks ago, as the team secured a 67-37 win. Does Modoc have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tulelake turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
