Recap: Santa Rosa Academy vs. Rancho Verde
With a playoff game on the line, the Santa Rosa Academy Rangers rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Mustangs out 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Santa Rosa Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
They hit Rancho Verde with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Kaden Maxwell-Garcia,
Dominic Zagone, and
Dylan Geske.
Santa Rosa Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Rancho Verde, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4-8.
Santa Rosa Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Milken on February 13th. Milken's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Rancho Verde does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
