Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton lost against Warrensburg-Latham back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Maroons came up short against the Cardinals, falling 10-3.

Clinton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Walker, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Clinton now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Warrensburg-Latham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-2.

Clinton and Warrensburg-Latham could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Maroons (ranked 400th) will meet Eureka (ranked 36th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Warrensburg-Latham will square off against Monticello at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (150 vs. 38).
