Soccer Recap: Marietta Has No Trouble Against South Cobb

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Walton, Marietta was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the South Cobb Eagles 7-1. Considering the Blue Devils' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit South Cobb with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rachel Barrau (3), Carsyn Watters (2), Niyah White, and Esme Clowers- Page.

Marietta's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for South Cobb, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marietta will take on North Paulding at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Cobb, they will challenge Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chapel Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.4 goals per game this season.
