For the first time this season, Ledford will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Central Davidson Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Ledford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.

Ledford took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Forsyth Home Educators with a sharp 16-2 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the match before.

Hailey Hoots was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ledford got a massive performance out of Alana Herrera, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most hits Herrera has posted since back in April of 2024. Cassidy Murray was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Ledford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forsyth Home Educators only posted an OBP of .421.

Meanwhile, Central Davidson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forbush.

Central Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ledford, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Ledford beat Central Davidson 8-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Ledford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central Davidson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
