B District 2 (8 Man) recap November 19, 2013
Alex extended the longest winning streak in B District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Ringwood, 60-14. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Longhorns.
Allen lost to Laverne 68-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dalton James ran for 104 yards and caught 4 passes for 38 yards in the defeat.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Oklahoma Christian Academy's Caleb Powell and Nathaniel Garner have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Powell has thrown for 1,267 yards this season, while Garner has 49 catches for 1,169 yards. Geary's Cody Lewis leads the league in rushing yards with 1,823.
Kyler Thornburg of the Alex is only 69 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 80 carries Thornburg has accumulated 931 yard this year.
Matt Brand's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 60 points on the Red Devils.
