Football Recap: Fairfield Prep Find Success

Fairfield Prep proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 45) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 victory over the New Britain Golden Hurricanes.

Several Golden Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Allen, who rushed for 117 yards and a pair of TDs. Allen didn't just play on offense: he also made two total tackles and defended two passes. Billy Seymour was another key player, rushing for 84 yards and one touchdown.

Fairfield Prep now has a winning record of 2-1. As for New Britain, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Fairfield Prep has already played their next game, a 26-14 win against Shelton on the 3rd. As for New Britain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-15 victory against Enfield on the 3rd.
