Basketball Recap: Defiance Takes a Loss

Defiance lost against Archbold back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Defiance Bulldogs received a blow as they fell 71-57 to the Archbold Blue Streaks. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Bulldogs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 344th).

Defiance's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-5. As for Archbold, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Celina has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Archbold, they will take on Patrick Henry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Patrick Henry will roll in looking for their 20th straight win, something Archbold surely won't give up without a fight.
