Volleyball Recap: Pattonville Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Madison Dunn and Ellen Mae Young

After flying high against Hazelwood West on Monday, Pattonville came back down to earth. The Pirates fell 3-1 to the Howell Central Spartans on Wednesday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-19, 23-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Ellen Mae Young and Madison Dunn certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Young had 18 assists and seven digs, while Dunn had 11 assists and eight digs.

Pattonville's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Howell Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Pattonville has already played their next contest (against Clayton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Howell Central, they will welcome Fort Zumwalt North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
