Baseball Recap: Central Noble Comes Up Short

Central Noble couldn't beat Churubusco on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Cougars took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Central Noble has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Churubusco, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 7-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Central Noble by a score of 4-3 later that day.
