Taft hadn't done well against Chavez recently (they were 1-7-1 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Titans. Taft's winning goal came courtesy of Carlos Bejarano.

Taft has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-6 record this season. As for Chavez, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Taft is set to square off against their familiar foe Wasco at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chavez will take on rival Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
