Timber Creek never let their opponents score on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Viera Hawks. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gavin Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other pitching news, Hunter Wieckowski tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

The victory got Timber Creek back to even at 1-1. As for Viera, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Timber Creek didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-2 win against Montverde Academy on the 19th. As for Viera, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Deltona on the 18th.
