Basketball Game Preview: Jackson Vikings vs. Holt Rams

The Jackson Vikings will head out to square off against the Holt Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, Jackson came up short against Chelsea and fell 60-53. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Holt played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 74-31 loss at the hands of East Lansing. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Holt now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Jackson, they now also have a losing record of 10-11.

Things could have been worse for Jackson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-50 loss to Holt when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Jackson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
