Basketball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Drops Season-High Score on Ozanam

Guadalupe Centers hadn't done well against Ozanam recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Guadalupe Centers Aztecs managed a 37-31 victory over Ozanam. The Aztecs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Ozanam lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryce Hakes, who posted five points and four steals. That's the most points Hakes has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Orlando Webb, who put up eight points and 15 rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Guadalupe Centers and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Ozanam, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guadalupe Centers will welcome Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ozanam, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frontier School of Excellence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
