Basketball Recap: Zoe Carter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Thomas Stone over Glen Burnie

Thomas Stone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 60-44 fall against the Glen Burnie Gophers.

Thomas Stone's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoe Carter, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Carter a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Another player making a difference was Malaiyah Johnson, who posted eight points and 12 boards.

Thomas Stone's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Glen Burnie, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.

Thomas Stone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-19 defeat against Southern on the 24th. Glen Burnie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
