It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Somersworth had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fall Mountain Wildcats. The victory was familiar territory for the Toppers, who have now won five matchups in a row.
Savanna Comeau paced Somersworth's offense, picking up 11 kills. Comeau got some help from Kylie Pettengill and her 23 assists. Paige Demers controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Somersworth's win bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Fall Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
