Basketball Recap: Deshler Falls Despite Big Games from Carson Sieber and Easton Nash

On Tuesday, the Deshler Dragons came up short against the Osceola Bulldogs and fell 65-55. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Deshler had strong showings from Easton Nash, who shot 56% from the field en route to 27 points, and Carson Sieber, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. Nash continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Osceola had a senior duo take command as Kelby Neujahr went 11-for-17 on his way to 31 points along with seven assists and five rebounds and Boston Hinkle shot 53% from the field to rack up 21 points and six boards. Neujahr is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 17 games he's played. Brayden Santos was another key player, putting up nine points.

Deshler's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Osceola, their record now sits at 14-11.

Deshler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Osceola, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-44 defeat against McCool Junction on the 27th.
