Volleyball Recap: Butte Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Butte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Helena Bengals, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bengals from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-15.

Avery Barsness paced Butte's offense, picking up 12 kills. Barsness got some help from Ellison Graham and her 18 assists. Graham was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Butte's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Helena, they pushed their record up to 16-12 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Butte will square off against rival Big Sky at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Helena is set to challenge their familiar foe Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
