Softball Game Preview: Eldred Yellowjackets vs. SS Seward

The Eldred Yellowjackets will venture away from home to challenge SS Seward at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Eldred is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Monday just wasn't the day for Eldred's offense. They came up short against Burke Catholic on Monday, falling 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Yellowjackets have suffered since May 17, 2025.

Meanwhile, SS Seward lost 14-5 to Tri-Valley on Monday.

SS Seward's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Eldred, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Everything went Eldred's way against SS Seward in their previous meeting back in April, as Eldred made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
