Baseball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tremont last Saturday, Columbus came back down to earth. The Columbus Falcons fell just short of the Kemper Academy Rams by a score of 7-6 on Monday. The Falcons have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Kemper Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Columbus will be playing in front of their home fans against Louisville at 1:00 a.m. on Friday. Kemper Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newton County Academy at 2:00 p.m. on April 5th.
