Softball Recap: Capistrano Valley Takes a Loss

Capistrano Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oaks Christian Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Friday.

Capistrano Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Oaks Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Capistrano Valley will head out to square off against Santa Margarita at 10:00 a.m. on the 12th. As for Oaks Christian, they will square off against Newbury Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
