Baseball Recap: Stafford Comes Up Short

Stafford fell victim to Ellington and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 14-0 to the Knights. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Stafford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Murray, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Stafford now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Ellington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Stafford will venture away from home to face off against East Windsor at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.88 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ellington, they will host Academy of Aerospace and Engineering at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
