Manhattan hadn't done well against Emporia recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Manhattan Indians breezed past the Emporia Spartans to the tune of 62-29. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 44-43 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Kat Ball was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 14 points and nine steals. Isabelle Peabody was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Manhattan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive matchups.

Manhattan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Emporia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10-2.
