Auburn is a perfect 10-0 against Fort Chiswell since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will challenge the Pioneers at 5:00 p.m. Auburn is coming into the match hot, having won their last 12 games.

Auburn is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Giles get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Fort Chiswell came out on top against Grayson County on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Pioneers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Blue Devils 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pioneers have posted since May 16, 2024.

Fort Chiswell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mac Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Auburn's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Chiswell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

Auburn took their victory against Fort Chiswell in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
