Softball Game Preview: Ventura Cougars vs. Santa Barbara Dons

The Ventura Cougars will welcome the Santa Barbara Dons at 3:30 p.m. Ventura's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Santa Barbara's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Ventura's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over Santa Barbara. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-run performance the game before.

Jessie Sebek made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. Sebek was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Brooklynn Bishop was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and one RBI. Zayra Landeros was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.
