Basketball Recap: East Lee County Skates Past Immokalee with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gateway, East Lee County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Immokalee Indians 52-21. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Jaguars have posted since December 5, 2024.

Despite the loss, Immokalee saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kristina St Val posted 11 points.

East Lee County's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-17. As for Immokalee, their defeat was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

East Lee County will head out on the road to take on Gateway Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Immokalee, they will be playing at home against Southwest Florida Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immokalee is facing Southwest Florida Christian at the right time seeing as Southwest Florida Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
