Volleyball Recap: Bishop Mcguinness Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Bishop McGuinness and South Stokes squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Bishop McGuinness had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sauras. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Sauras this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss last Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-27, 25-18.

Lyla Passwater paced Bishop McGuinness' offense, picking up 13 kills. Passwater got some help from JoJo Seeber and her 18 assists. Natalie Ma controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Ellie White had an outrageously good game for South Stokes as she had 34 digs. That's the most digs White has posted since back in September.

Bishop McGuinness' loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7. As for South Stokes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Bishop McGuinness does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Stokes, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Community School of Davidson on the 23rd.
