Football Recap: St. Paul's Prep Lions vs. Varsity Opponent
On Friday, everything came up roses for the St. Paul's Prep Lions at home against Varsity Opponent as the squad secured a 58-31 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Paul's Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamie Ramirez, who picked up 181 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Ramirez's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 103 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Dibenedetto, who threw for 220 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt.
St. Paul's Prep's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.
St. Paul's Prep will head out on the road to take on Waco Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next game, a 53-0 loss against High Point Christian Academy on the 11th.
