It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Dripping Springs had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Vista Ridge Rangers as they made off with a 38-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven games by 24 points or more so far this season.

Dripping Springs' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaceton Gotta, who rushed for 88 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Gotta has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Reid, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Dripping Springs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Malachi Igharo and Liam Lawson. Igharo is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Vista Ridge lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Quinn Szczytowski, who rushed for 94 yards and one score. Will Johnson was another key receiver, picking up 103 receiving yards and one TD.

The win was the third in a row for Dripping Springs, bringing their record up to 10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.7 points over those games. As for Vista Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Dripping Springs will square off against Harlan at 7:30 p.m. on the 21st. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine matchups. Vista Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
