Soccer Game Preview: Wagner vs. New Braunfels

Wagner is 0-10 against New Braunfels since February of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Wagner Thunderbirds will look to defend their home pitch against the New Braunfels Unicorns at 7:15 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Wagner is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to Pieper. While losing is never fun, the Thunderbirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 579th, while the Warriors are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, New Braunfels fell victim to Pieper and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Unicorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Braunfels now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Wagner, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
