Basketball Recap: Kara Krupski's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Nardin Academy over Iroquois

Nardin Academy lost against Iroquois back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nardin Academy Gators came up short against the Iroquois Redhawks , falling 68-45. The Gators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kara Krupski, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Braun, who scored six points and 12 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Nardin Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Nardin Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Iroquois, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nardin Academy will venture away from home to challenge Nichols at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. As for Iroquois, they will head out to square off against West Seneca East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
