Softball Recap: Manteca Takes a Loss

Manteca came into this matchup off a tough 11-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Central Catholic Raiders by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Buffaloes have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Isabel Tonna was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Marissa San Nicolas was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
