Basketball Recap: Islamic Foundation Victorious

After losing to College Prep of America the last time they met, Islamic Foundation decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Islamic Foundation Chargers came out on top against the College Prep of America Thunder by a score of 27-16 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

College Prep of America's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zainab Nazeer, who posted 12 points. That was a full 75% of College Prep of America's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Islamic Foundation now has a winning record of 4-3. As for College Prep of America, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Islamic Foundation has already played their next match (against Aqsa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. College Prep of America will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hinsdale Adventist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 28th.
