Basketball Game Preview: Singer Hornets vs. DeRidder Dragons

The Singer Hornets will square off against the DeRidder Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Singer is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Stanley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a hard 67-50 fall against the Panthers.

Meanwhile, DeRidder came up short against South Beauregard on Monday and fell 46-39. The Dragons have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

DeRidder's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Singer, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1.

Singer came up short against DeRidder in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 59-53. Can Singer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
