Newcomerstown's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They skirted past the Indian Valley Braves 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Larissa Stull, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Maddie Kellish, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Newcomerstown's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Indian Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newcomerstown will venture away from home to square off against Malvern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Indian Valley, they will head out to challenge Dover at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
