Baseball Game Preview: East Hamilton Hurricanes vs. Bradley Central Bears

East Hamilton hasn't had much luck against Bradley Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Bears at 6:30 p.m. Neither East Hamilton nor Bradley Central posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Monday, East Hamilton came up short against McMinn County and fell 7-2.

East Hamilton got a good showing from Liam Hughes, who pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, Hughes didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March.

At the plate, East Hamilton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miguel Fernandez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Bradley Central has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.97 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 11-1 to Soddy Daisy. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

East Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 16-16. As for Bradley Central, they now have a losing record of 14-15-1.

East Hamilton suffered a grim 10-1 defeat to Bradley Central when the teams last played on April 10th. Can the Hurricanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
