Basketball Recap: Berkley Takes a Loss

Berkley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 56-49 to the University Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-50 two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why Berkley lost, don't look at Johnny Paprocki. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sam Niyo, who posted six points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Berkley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for University, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Berkley will face off against Royal Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they will challenge Southfield Arts & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
