Baseball Recap: Flintridge Prep Comes Up Short

Flintridge Prep's last matchup with Rio Hondo Prep could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. Flintridge Prep came up short against Rio Hondo Prep, falling 13-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kares this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 last Tuesday.

Flintridge Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Grable, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Flintridge Prep hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive matches.

Flintridge Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Rio Hondo Prep, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Flintridge Prep will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hoover at 3:30 p.m. on April 3. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they will square off against Army-Navy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
