Soccer Recap: Taylor Comes Up Short

If Taylor was riding high fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Atlantic last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Taylor Wildcats came up short against the Menendez Falcons on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Ava Castro wasn't going to let Menendez walk away unscathed as she scored both of Taylor's goals, bringing her season total up to six goals.

Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Menendez, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will face off against DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Menendez, they will challenge St. Joseph Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
