Baseball Recap: Roncalli Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Roncalli came out on top against Sheboygan Falls on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Jets' pitcher stepped up to hand the Falcons an 8-0 shutout. The Jets haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Jake Hillmer, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Sheboygan Falls off the board. Hillmer also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Roncalli is 7-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hayden Dewane, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Roncalli pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Sheboygan Falls, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Roncalli has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 defeat against Reedsville on the 24th. Sheboygan Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
