Softball Game Preview: First Baptist Saints vs. Ovilla Christian Eagles

The First Baptist Saints will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Ovilla Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

First Baptist made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Ovilla Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. First Baptist never let Ovilla Christian get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Monday.

Allison Munnerlyn made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Munnerlyn was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camila Rodriguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. Laila Batista was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

First Baptist took their victory against Ovilla Christian when the teams last played on Monday by a conclusive 21-0. Does First Baptist have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ovilla Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
