New Trier won the last time they faced Glenbrook North and Jackie Ryder did his part to make sure it happened again. The Trevians breezed past the Spartans to the tune of 49-7 on Friday for which the team can thank Ryder, who threw for 209 yards and three TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes. He is becoming a predictor of New Trier's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

The win made it two in a row for New Trier and bumps their season record up to 5-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-6 Evanston and 2-6 Glenbrook North. As for Glenbrook North, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
