Soccer Game Preview: St. Francis vs. Chaminade

The St. Francis Golden Knights will square off against the Chaminade Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

St. Francis is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Bishop Alemany. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Golden Knights came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Warriors are ranked 458th).

Meanwhile, Chaminade's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Crespi by a score of 1-0.

Chaminade's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10-2. As for St. Francis, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-3.

Everything went St. Francis' way against Chaminade in their previous matchup on January 3rd, as St. Francis made off with a 5-0 victory. Does St. Francis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chaminade turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
