Softball Recap: Western Boone Stars vs. North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers

Western Boone can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest in Tuesday's second game. Everything went their way against the North Montgomery Chargin' Chargers as the Western Boone Stars made off with a 15-3 victory. Winning may never get old, but Western Boone sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ally Lewis made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned run off one hit. Lewis was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Emma Shirley was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabby Lewis, who got no hits from her four at bats.

On North Montgomery's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella McManomy, who went 2-for-2 with a double.

Western Boone's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for North Montgomery, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Western Boone will head out on the road to take on Brownsburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
