Basketball Recap: Wise Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Wise's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They snuck past the Flowers Jaguars with a 72-67 victory. The Pumas have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Wise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayson Frost, who went 5 of 11 en route to 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Hargrove, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards.

Wise's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Flowers, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Wise will take on Suitland in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th at. As for Flowers, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Flowers Jaguars duke it out with the Northwestern Wildcats on Saturday.
