Baseball Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

Cleveland fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Caney Creek on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The Indians' loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Ryland Hamilton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Keith Schulz was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Cleveland now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Caney Creek, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9.

While Cleveland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
