Preview: Upper Dauphin Area Trojans vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs
The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans will play host again and welcome the Tri-Valley Bulldogs, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Upper Dauphin Area has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Upper Dauphin Area pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 85-60 walloping at the hands of Halifax. Upper Dauphin Area has not had much luck with Halifax recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Tri-Valley put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 49-35 victory over Halifax. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Tri-Valley has scored all season.
Tri-Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dawsyn Manning, who scored eight points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Layne Yoder was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five assists.
Upper Dauphin Area bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Tri-Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
Upper Dauphin Area was able to grind out a solid victory over Tri-Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, winning 70-61. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Tri-Valley's Kade Deeter, who scored 25 points along with three steals.
