Arroyo is 9-1 against Rosemead since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will face off against the Panthers at 3:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Arroyo fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Mountain View on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 7-6. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 5-0 in the first period.

Noah Fonseca was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Manny Vargas was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Rosemead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 9-2 to Marshall.

Rosemead saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Mojica, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Mojica also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Rosemead's record now sits at 2-9. As for Arroyo, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-5-1.

Arroyo was able to grind out a solid victory over Rosemead in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 12-8. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
